Day 17: ART! Since I laugh in the face of picking just one, here are a few that I quite like. There is no rhyme or reason to what I've selected. I have no great overarching Philosophy on Art. I just like...things that seem neat.

Philosopher Reading by Rembrandt

I got a poster of this my freshman year of college and it always hung over my desk. Sort of as inspiration? Mostly because I like it. I eventually framed the poster and it still hangs in my room.

Pieta by Michelangelo

I really like Mary. Just in general. And I'm fascinated by cloth in sculpture.

The Execution of Lady Jane Grey by Paul Delaroche:

I saw this at the National Gallery when I went to London. For the record, it's HUGE in real life. Again, I feel like I should have some grand reason for liking this and I don't really have one. I like history?

In the land of Do-It-Yourself Art: My friend participated in this thing called Whiskerino in which men grew beards and took pictures. IT IS AWESOME. One of my favorite participants is zackle:

CONVERSE! This is also to prove that my taste in art isn't completely morbid.

One more for the road! Lady Agnew of Lochnaw by John Singer Sargent:

I've always liked John Singer Sargent and I particularly like this one. I like that lady. She seems sassy.
