Wacky dream
Oct. 21st, 2005 12:01 ami woke up yesterday and realized I had cried in my sleep. I'm pretty sure I've never done that before. But, though this sounds sad and angtsy, this is the dream that made me cry:
Grandpa Joe from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is actually a very small alien in a person sized robot, like that guy in "Men in Black." Now, there aren't really any Men in Black. The people who helped Grandpa Joe cover-up his true identity is the Bartlett Administration from "West Wing." The problem is, Grandpa Joe is dying, and President Bartlett has to get the little alien out of the robot without anyone knowing. I think they were going to give the alien a proper burial. So. My job was to go with Grandpa Joe to the top of this tower where there's a cot so we can wait for him to die. There's this little lever in the roof of his mouth that opens up the robot head, and after he dies I'm supposed to open the robot head up and get the alien and bring him back secretly to Pres. Bartlett. The bit that made me cry was that right before Grandpa Joe died, he turned to me and I held him and we cried together. It was very distressing at the time, apparently. Though I woke up and wondered just what I had smoked before I went to bed.
