Heeeeeeeeeeellllllllllpp!
Dec. 6th, 2006 09:40 amOk. I need help. But it's gonna benefit y'all too, so bring it! How do I get a playlist zipped correctly so that it can be sent and shared and so forth for spreading the musicy goodness? There is clearly some step that I am missing for all of my test tries have failed and I give up on trying to be clever. My system for sharing the Stealing Harry cd was not really a system at all and I'm just not going to do it that way this time. You're my only hope!

------------
Browse to the folder of the first song in Windows Explorer (the thing that comes up when you open My Documents or whatever), right click on the song you want to add and pick WinZip - Add to Zip... from the contextual menu.
In the resulting dialog box, hit NEW and browse to the folder location that you want to save the playlist zip file, put a name for the zip file in the Name box and hit OK. Then hit the Add button. The first song will now be in the playlist zip file, and the zip file will be located in the folder you chose.
Now, without closing anything, browse to the folder of the next song in Windows Explorer. Then left-click drag-and-drop the song into the zip file window and hit Add again when the dialog box comes up. Rinse and repeat until all songs are all in there. You don't need to save the zip file anymore. Just close it out when you are done, and it will be there in the location you chose, full of copies of the songs.
Alternatively, instead of using the Explorer browse, drag-and-drop technique above, you can just hit Add button on the Winzip window after the first song is added. Then browse in the resulting Winzip browser to the next song, highlight it and hit Add. Rinse and repeat that way for all songs.
Now, if you aren't using WinZip... um... other zip programs probably work in a similar way?
