So. I've started watching SG:A. (As an aside, this is totally villainny's fault. Actually, no. r_becca, you're getting an apportion of the blame too.) Did I miss the part where they explain why everyone speaks English, or is this something that we're handwaving?

Furthermore. PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS MORE ZELENKA BECAUSE HE IS THE AWESOME-IST! More flailing likely to come, as Patty just laughs at me.

Oh, no. Another one bites the space-dust! I will have to start setting up a Survivor's Support Group for when everyone on my flist who is just getting into SG:A now hurtles out the other end and realises that they haven't seen their friends in weeks, and things like basic motor skills have been replaced by an encyclopaedic knowledge of farmboy AUs.

Also... I think that it was explained as a side effect of gate travel in SG-1, but it's entirely possible that that's hearsay since I've not really watched any.
