Feb. 1st, 2009 04:26 pmThanks in part to the Washington Post's "Cupcake Wars" and in part to
bookwench31 's birthday, we went to the Georgetown Cupcake place last night. This was the winner of the "Cupcake Wars" and is so popular that you have to line up OUTSIDE THE STORE and DOWN THE BLOCK. It was actually kind of awesome. A lady from the store came out and gave us some free hot chocolate (delicious!) while we waited outside to place our order. We went ahead and got a dozen to share with the
thursdays_son /
marynotcontrary family since we had already stood in line for half an hour to get the things. My friends, I am here to tell you those cupcakes are worth EVERY MINUTE of line-waiting. Holy Crap. The Washington Post does not lie. Those cupcakes were AWESOME. I think Mary may have had a religious experience or something. This is totally what we're doing for every special occasion from now on. Although, I 'm voting that we still check out the other cupcake places compared by the Post, so that we can be ABSOLUTELY SURE that Georgetown is the best.
