Feb. 3rd, 2004 11:07 pmWe've started build for Macbeth. The shop is quite festive right now. Costume crafts has been busy washing and tinting lots of different plaids for all the kilts we have to make and the fabric is draped all over the shop to dry and be ironed and cut and such. While the stitchers are in kilt hell, I'm rather in facial hair hell. There's just bloody tons of it! So many barbaric warriors to make manly! HOwever, I don't mind too much, b/c I found out the other day that I'm actually going to get to run this one. YAY! Running shows are lots of fun and this one should be especially cool due to all the blood and dismemberment involved. We actually had a really amusing conversation about severed heads. The main question being, what exactly does a severed head being shoved on a pike sound like, and how do we reproduce that? This of course leads to reason 6,782 I love my job. Where else would this be a legitimate work-related discussion.
On a completely different note, I have a cat! Her name is Gwen and she is "quiet, she is small, she is black/ From her ears to the tip of her tail." And she is extremely adorable!

That was one of my favorite shows to be in, it's so fun! Just watch out for the curse. Ours was, everything went fine until opening night, then for some unknown reason, in the middle of the second scene, all of the electrical equipment died for about 2 minutes. It all came back on again and we continued, but yeah, dead completely and it wasn't a short or blown fuse. Just dead. Scary, huh?
Awww, a kitty! she's sounds precious!
I'm so glad you updated, i was beginning to think you disappeared off the face of the planet!

Date: 2004-02-04 07:12 pm (UTC)The curse hasn't kicked in yet, but rehearsals have JUST started, so I guess we'll see. I'm mostly worried about the fact that the run is so long: March to July, plus the military base tour. It seems like we're giving ourselves ample opportunity ofr disaster...
